Total: approximately 1–3 weeks from submission to active SMS.
The first outgoing SMS to a new number includes an automatic notice about STOP and HELP commands. Recipients can reply STOP to block further messages or HELP for more info.
Standard URL shorteners (bit.ly, tinyurl, etc.) will get your numbers permanently blocked. If you need short links, use Rebrandly — it's an approved shortener.
