Using SharePoint for Team Documents
SharePoint is where your team's shared files live. Unlike OneDrive (personal), SharePoint is for collaborative content.
Accessing SharePoint
- From Teams: click the Files tab in any channel — that's SharePoint
- From the web: go to your company's SharePoint site (ask your manager for the URL)
- From File Explorer: SharePoint folders can be synced to your computer via OneDrive
Syncing to Your Computer
- Open the SharePoint document library in your browser
- Click Sync in the toolbar
- Allow OneDrive to set up the sync
- The folder will appear in File Explorer under your organization's name
Tips
- Don't move or rename synced folders in File Explorer — this can break the sync
- If a file shows a conflict icon, open it and choose which version to keep
- Large files (over 250 MB) may take time to sync — be patient
